Goal 1: Define and strengthen the school’s purpose

  • Define the vision of the school
  • Define and communicate the mission of the school
  • Design an organisational structure that matches the vision and the developing needs of the school.
  • Become an accredited IB world school.
  • Define a system for reflection and review of the purpose of the school.
  • Ensure financial sustainability.

Goal 2: To develop a culture of agency in our community

  • Actively seek out service opportunities and encourage learners, teachers and parents to participate.
  • Develop and implement systems of communication and collaboration.
  • Define and implement policies that communicate our culture.
  • Define systems that allow the community to reflect and report.
  • Ensure teacher involvement in their personal professional development.
  • Instil student voice in curriculum planning.

Goal 3: Build an inclusive environment for the RIS community

Strategies:

  • Design a system that allows the school to procure a full range of appropriate resources.
  • Ensure the physical classrooms are supportive of the differentiated needs.
  • Match the human resources available to the needs of the students.
  • Connect with outside entities that offer support.
  • Provide systems to support parental involvement in the school community
